Mary Ostrom Profile Photo

Mary Ostrom passed away June 26. 2015. She was born May 24, 1926 on a homestead near Rosebud, Montana, the daughter of George and Ethel Martin. She loved to tell stories about her life on the farm and about growing up with three older brothers. It was being a farm girl that gave her the love of and compassion for animals.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, wonderful grandmother and fun-loving aunt. Her family was always her first priority and greatest joy. Her home, kitchen and her arms were always open to her daughters' many friends.

Mary was an avid golfer and bowler. She loved working in her yard, flowerbeds and garden. For over 58 years she was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

She was preceded in death by parents, her devoted husband Vern, and her three brothers Don, Jim and Sam. She is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Jim Bailey) and Shari (Fred Stroppel); five grandchildren, Kristin, Trahan (Kit) Ben Martin, Nikki Shaw (Mike), Chris Bailey LaGreca (Cassie) and Pat Bailey (AshLee).
