In Loving Memory of Mary Lou Alvarez Anderson
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Lou Anderson, a beloved mother, grandmother and friend, who left this world at the age of 74. She fought a courageous battle against Alzheimer’s disease, demonstrating unwavering strength and resilience until the very end.
Mary Lou was born on Sept. 21, 1949, and lived a life filled with love, compassion and devotion to her family, church and community. Her impact on those around her was immeasurable, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family was at the center of Mary Lou’s world. She dedicated herself to loving and supporting her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters. Faith played a significant role in Mary Lou’s life. A devoted member of Mary Queen of Peace Church, and before that, Our Lady of Guadalupe, she found solace and strength in her spiritual beliefs. Her presence in the church community was marked by kindness, generosity and a deep commitment to serving others. Mary Lou actively participated in the church choir, lending her voice to praise and worship. Her passion for singing brought joy to congregations and created lasting memories for all who shared in the harmonies she created.
Mary Lou is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Eric); son Spencer (Julianna); granddaughters Ruby, Lucia and Francesca; sisters Rose, Dolores (John), Agnes and Betty; and brother John (Mary).
As we remember Mary Lou, let us celebrate the joy she brought to our lives, the love she shared, and the melodies she added to our hearts through her singing. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will continue to echo in the laughter of her loved ones and in the hymns of the choir she cherished.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Mary Lou will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. in Billings.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mary Queen of Peace Church or Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter in Mary Lou’s memory.
May Mary Lou find eternal peace, and may her family and friends find comfort in the cherished memories they shared with her.
