Monte D. Gress, 65, of Billings, died peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer, on Oct. 27, 2019.
Monte was born on Aug. 28, 1954, to Benny and Elsie Gress in Billings.
He enjoyed traveling and gardening, but his very favorite pastime was spending time with his pups.
Monte is preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Elsie Gress; brother Timothy Gress and life partner Doug Stuart.
He is survived by his brothers, John Gress and Dusty (Vicki) Gress; sister-in-law Satit Gress; nephews Steven (Bobbie) Gress, William Gress, James (Nicole) Gress; nieces Brandi Gress, Elaine Gress and Anna Gress; great-nephews, Troy, Cody, Josh, Timothy, Shawn, Johnny, Benny, Robby, Willy, Andy, Luewa, Rian; and great-nieces Sumalee and Abby. And his very best friends, his pups Siri and Arie, and all his extended family and friends.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave.
