Nathan Paul Vannatta, 32, a Billings resident, died Saturday, July 4, 2015, in an accidental firework explosion.
Nathan Paul Vannatta was born on May 3, 1983, to Gregory and Martha (Dozier) Vannatta. Nathan attended Sidney High School, where he graduated. Clarissa Amber Vannatta was born to Nathan and his girlfriend Tanya Hoerster, on July 23, 2010. Nathan and Tanya married on Dec. 26, 2013. When Nathan wasn't working hard to provide for his family, he enjoyed going to the lakes and rivers with his wife and daughter, taking short adventures, and exploring and showing his daughter new things. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends whenever he could.
He is survived by his wife Tanya and daughter Clarissa of Billings; his father, Gregory Vannatta of Sidney; his mother Martha Dozier of Spanaway, Wash.; sister Angela Boggs of Spanaway; sister Tiffany Jay of Las Vegas; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sister Jessica Ann Vannatta; cousin Nick Vannatta; grandparents and great-grandparents.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary and Crematory in Billings. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at Faith Chapel Church in Billings. Please use the Broadwater entrance.
