Neil Wolff, 95, went home to Jesus on February 18, 2012, surrounded by the love of family members.

Neil was born July 21st, 1916, to Edwin and Anna Wolff. He was one of five brothers raised on the homestead near Lindsay, Montana. As a young man he joined the CCC and took part in building Fort Peck Dam, then completed a business course at Poly Tech Institute in Billings. He enlisted in the army at Fort Missoula September 19, 1940, and was honorably discharged as 2nd Lieutenant of the 81st Division October 13, 1944. After returning to Montana he married Mary Morris of Carrollton, Georgia on June 3, 1946. The young couple resided in Great Falls, Montana and Denver, Colorado before making a permanent residence in Billings. He worked at Ryan Oldsmobile as Parts Manager for 25 years.

Neil belonged to the Elks Club, St. Thomas Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and the VFW. His hobbies were cruises, fishing, camping and carpentry. Neil and Mary loved Glacier Park, where they spent every year at their time share condo. Neil lived alone for eight years after Mary's passing in 2003, fiercely independent in spite of failing eyesight and hearing loss. He was a hard-working man and an inspiration to his family with his values, work ethics, discipline and strength. His humor remained intact to the very end and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Neil is survived by his daughters, Alice (Stan) Colton of Denton, Janice (Jerry) Kessler of Billings, Marcia (Bryan) Mussard of Dillon; grandchildren, Angie (Josh) Breeding, Jessie Sellars, Lindsey (Dan) Ross, Jeremy, Caleb and Matt Kessler, Gerad Smith, Zerah (Bryan) Turbitt, Silas, Zach and Talitha Smith, and Lauren Mussard; great-grandchildren Tucker and Damon McCune, Elysa Sellars and Isaac Duncan, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers.

Appreciation is extended to the staff of Rocky Mountain Hospice and Laurel Health and Rehabilitation for your compassionate care of Neil. Memorials may be made to Rocky Mountain Hospice, St. Thomas Church or to the charity of choice.

Visitation will begin 2pm Wednesday, February 22nd and Vigil services will be held 7pm Thursday, February 23rd at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be 10am Friday, February 24th at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal and Military Honors will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
