Patricia E. Hammerel, 92 of Billings, passed away, Wednesday, April 19, 2017.
The daughter of Clyde and Daphne Elbert, she was born December 10, 1924 in Fort Worth, TX and graduated from high school in Ten Sleep Wyoming in 1942.
After graduating from Nursing School, she worked as a Registered Nurse and Medical Records Technician. She spent her adult life in medicine and healthcare.
During WWII, Pat was an Army Cadet with the Nurse Corps.
She was a member of the Elks Club, AARP and the Hilands Golf Club.
She married Dr. John J. Hammerel in Cody in 1965.
Survivors include her children, Diane Owen (David), Gary Glasrud (Jule), and John L. Hammerel (Jan), two step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren and a niece and nephew.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband John in 1965, her parents, brother Clyde Moore Elbert, Jr, and sister Juanita Lewis, and step daughter Susan Hammerel LaMere.
Private graveside services are planned at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
