Patricia Whitaker Selover, 89, passed away peacefully from a stroke on Monday, September 24, 2018, in Billings, MT, with her loving family by her side.
Patty was born on December 29, 1928 in Watertown, South Dakota. She grew up in Minneapolis, MN, where she met the love of her life, George Selover. In 1955, Billings became home for George and Patty and their life became enriched by amazing friendships and a wonderful community in which they quickly became involved.
Patty was constantly striving to help others with her loving and caring ways while always putting others first. She loved to sew, entertain, play tennis and her gardens were abundant and flourished as did her love for her husband and three daughters. Patty was very involved in the Junior League, through which she coordinated and organized the Community Day Care Center. She and George loved spending time at their cabin in Red Lodge as they made the Red Lodge Mountains their home away from home.
Patty is survived by her husband, George and three daughters: Sally Brucker (Ben), Mary Underriner (Bill) and Lucy Walton (Gary). They were blessed with seven grandchildren: Anne Flowers (Jordan), Scott Brucker (Mackenzie), Stephen Brucker (Lisa), Blake Underriner, Kyle Underriner, Craig Walton (Stephanie), Brandon Walton, Whitney Walton, Taylor Walton; and eight great-grandchildren: Braden, Carson and Blakely Flowers, Peyton and Brooke Brucker, Sadie, Calvin and Graham Brucker.
A celebration of Patty's life will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at First Congregational Church, 301 N. 27th Street.
