Patrick Nolan Mcdermott

Patrick Nolan McDermott, 51, of Billings, passed away on Feb. 12, 2018. Patrick was born in Billings in 1967 and attended school at St. Joseph's in Baytown, Texas, as well as Burlington Elementary and Lewis and Clark Junior High before graduating from West High in 1985. He attended Montana State University and University of Montana.

Patrick was our family's computer and TV fix-it person, often over the phone with Mom. He was in the process of writing the personal story of his life experiences and of the mental and medical challenges involved.

Patrick is survived by his mother, Lydia McDermott; father Robert (Mary) McDermott; sister Joanne (Barry) Fritchman; sister-in-law Ginger McDermott; and his nieces and nephews, Brian Fritchman, Katie Fritchman, Michelle McDermott, Jailyn McDermott and Jeremiah McDermott. Patrick is also survived by his support group who loved him for who he was and who helped his as a fellow traveler in life. Patrick was preceded in death by his brother Edward, whom he missed every day of his life (auto accident in 2006); and his special friend Michelle (2010) of Oklahoma City.

To Patrick from his family.... "In life we loved you dearly, in death we loved you still. In our hearts you hold a special place that no one else can fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you the day God took you home."

Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave., Billings.
