Paul David Bray, 58, of Hilt, California, passed away on Feb. 3, 2024, in Billings.

He was born on Jan. 1, 1966, in Medford, Oregon. Paul was a loving husband to Louise Bray and devoted and proud father to Rachel Bray (Kyle Taylor), Jana Bray (Cody Sudduth), Jessee Bray and Danielle Bray, and grandfather to Emmitt Bray, Kris Taylor, Lucielle and Evelynn Sudduth. He also was a caring brother to Keith Bray (Barbara Bray) and Kathy Bray.

Paul was a compassionate and selfless man who always had a listening ear and a helping hand. He lived his life with the desire to assist others in any way possible, often going above and beyond to give his support. Paul’s generosity knew no boundaries, and he would readily give the shirt off his back and volunteer his time.

In his early years, Paul attended Butte Valley High in Doris, California. Paul laid the foundation for life in the value of hard work and dedication. His professional journey included tenures at McDonalds, Denny’s and, most recently, at Holiday. In addition, his passion extended to the joyful atmosphere of Toys R Us.

Outside of work, in the past, Paul enjoyed being involved in coaching flag football and being a Cub Scout leader. He also enjoyed collecting model cars and going target shooting. Paul was always up for watching a youthful cartoon. Camping and the outdoors was always on his mind.

A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at Walkers, 2700 First Ave. N. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Paul’s memory and celebrate the impact he had on their lives.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Rose Bray; as well as his brothers, Byron and Greg Bray.

Paul Bray will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all the lives he’s touched.

Poem:

‘Remember Me’ by Anthony Dowson

Speak of me as you have always done.

Remember the good times, laughter, and fun.

Share the happy memories we’ve made.

Do not let them wither or fade.

I’ll be with you in the summer’s sun

And when the winter’s chill has come.

I’ll be the voice that whispers in the breeze.

I’m peaceful now, put your mind at ease.

I've rested my eyes and gone to sleep,

But memories we’ve shared are yours to keep.

Sometimes our final days may be a test,

But remember me when I was at my best.

Although things may not be the same,

Don’t be afraid to use my name.

Let your sorrow last for just awhile

Comfort each other and try to smile.

I’ve lived a life filled with joy and fun,

Live on now, make me proud of what you’ll become.
