Rebecca Lynn Reichert was born May 11, 1976, in Billings, to Richard Reichert and Kim Premo. Rebecca passed away March 28, 2020, at Billings Clinic, after a long battle with metastatic kidney cancer. She was 43 years old.
She is preceded in death by her father, Richard. She is survived by her mother, Kim Premo; her four children, Kelsey, Seth, Makayla and Roman; and her three siblings, Regina, Ricky and Rachelle.
Rebecca loved her children and her family more than anything in the world; she never failed to let them know. Rebecca loved God; she loved watching her kids play sports and being there for all of their events. She was big on finding good TV shows to watch, and loved movie nights with her kids.
Rebecca was also very generous and never failed to help those who needed it. She had the biggest heart and wore her smile like a crown.
It would be wrong to say that Rebecca lost her battle, because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she always stayed optimistic. When anyone else would have broken, she stayed strong. Through her, we know what perseverance and resilience is. There was no quit in Rebecca; she never gave up. Just because she is no longer here doesn't mean she lost her fight. Her spirit will live on in those she loves forever.
The Watcher
She always leaned to watch for us
Anxious if we were late,
In winter by the window,
In summer by the gate.
And though we mocked her tenderly
Who had such foolish care,
The long way home would seem more safe,
Because she waited there.
Her thoughts were all so full of us,
She never could forget,
And so I think that where she is
She must be watching yet.
Waiting 'til we come home to her
Anxious if we are late
Watching from Heaven's window
Leaning on Heaven's gate.
