Richard (Rick) Earl Fisher

Rick was born in Billings, MT, on September 7, 1945, to Maurice Fisher and Gloria Schmaing Fisher Aman.

In 1959, Maurice retired from the U.S. Navy, and the family moved back to Billings permanently.

Rick was born with mental challenges and moved to several facilities and group homes throughout Montana over the years. In 2009, he moved back to Billings and lived at the Lewis Avenue group home until his passing. There are so many RSS staff who took such loving care of him over the years. Thank you!

We would like to mention just a few people who were caregivers and friends since he moved to Billings: Ilene Zahn, Sylke Hufford, Clinton Steier and most recently Kaley Roundface, who gave of themselves and to Rick with love and compassion. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We would also like to give our heartfelt thanks to all the doctors and nurses at Billings Clinic Hospital for all their care and kindness during this difficult time.

Rick was an avid sports fan and loved football (Dallas Cowboys) and baseball (Seattle Mariners). He also loved old westerns, historic military movies, and classic western music.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Maurice; stepmother, Lydia; mother, Gloria; stepfather, Lloyd Aman; and half-brother, Robert (Bob) Klein.

Rick is survived by his sister, Linda (Rockie) Koehler, and their family, all of North Dakota; sister, Kathy (Ron) Danneberg of Rapelje, MT and their family of Billings, MT and Rapelje, MT; and sister-in-law, Marion Klein, and her family.

Rick had a very special relationship with the Lord and looked forward to meeting Him in Heaven. Rest peacefully, gentle soul! We will miss you so much! Till we meet again! Love you.
