Richard Sartorie Jr.

Richard Sartorie Jr., loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 12, 2018. He was 91 years old.

Richard was born on April 17, 1927, in Roundup, to Richard and Alice Sartorie Sr. The family then moved to a farm in Billings when he was 3 years old. Richard had one brother, Claude Manzagol of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Richard met the love of his life, Mae Eckhardt, at a dance in 1947. They were married on Oct. 5, 1957, and just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. Richard has one son, Michael; and one granddaughter, Jordyn. He also has one nephew, Jerry Manzagol of Santa Fe.

Richard worked for Intermountain Distributing for 27 years, and had many lifelong friends from the job he loved. After retiring, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and helping Mike with farming chores at Sartorie Farms. Richard was fortunate to enjoy a full life and long retirement.

Mae, Mike and Jordyn would like to express special gratitude to Stillwater Hospice for their loving care in Richard's final days. In lieu of flowers, we invite everyone to donate to the healthcare foundation of their choosing.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 409 S. 36th St.
