Ron Zitur

Ron Zitur, born July 29, 1950, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, to Jerry and Eilene Zitur, passed away unexpectedly on May 22, 2020.

The family ended up making their home in Billings in 1960. Ron attended Billings Central High School, where he made lifelong friends. Ron married Kathleen Lahn and had three children: Chad, Conrad and Danielle. Kathy passed away in 1988 and Ron began raising his children as a single parent. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Ron always had a smile on his face and was willing to help anyone in need.

Ron was blessed with nine grandchildren, Zachary Zitur and Bowen Zitur, sons of his oldest, Chad Zitur; Brendan, Alyssa, Seth, Kiefer and Keenan, sons of Conrad Zitur; and Aiden and Violet Eaton, children of Danielle Eaton. He loved his grandchildren very much.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Jerome; little sister, Peggy Zitur; brother Chuck Zitur; and his wife, Kathy Zitur;. His sister Pat Burch passed away a few days after him.

He leaves behind his mother, Eilene Zitur; his brother, Dale Zitur (Terrie); son Chad Zitur (Shalee), son Conrad Zitur (Amy); daughter Danielle Eaton (Brad); nine grandchildren, Zach, Bowen, Brendan, Alyssa, Keenan, Kiefer, Seth, Aiden and Violet; and many nephews and nieces. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, at St. Bernard’s Parish, 226 Wicks Lane.
