Rosalen “Joy” Leavitt

Rosalen "Joy" Leavitt, beloved wife of Robert LaVerne Leavitt (deceased 11-16-14) for over 54 years, loving mother of Jerry, Russell and Tom, passed away in peace at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015. She is survived by her brother, Walter Wark, and preceded in death by her brother Daniel Wark, mother Margaret and father Frank Wark. She is survived by three children, Jerry (Maggie), Russell (Alice), Tom (Cindy); and many loved grandchildren, Cody L., Curtis L., Nicole, Nate, Emily and Erin; two-great-grandchildren, Colt Leavitt and Tegan Rose. Joy was born to Margaret and Frank Wark in Rosemead, Calif., on July 10, 1939. She was an avid crafter and enjoyed rides in the country. She truly was a free spirit, and enjoyed being with her family and friends. Joy was a lifetime member of TOPS and won many awards at local county fairs with her crafts. Services to be held at Morning Star the week of March 2, and Joy will be put to rest alongside her husband Robert at the family cemetery in Shell, Wyo., on June 23.
