Rosemary "Rita" Harris, 75, of Billings, died on Nov. 19, 2018 in Lewistown. Rita was born in Carrington, North Dakota, on June 18, 1943, to Anton and Frances Heintz. She was raised on a farm in Sykeston, North Dakota, with six brothers and four sisters. They worked hard with daily chores. Rita graduated from Sykeston High School and later furthered her education by graduating from Town and Country Beauty College, and then married. She was blessed with three sons before this marriage ended. She later married the love of her life, Richard Harris.

Rita was the owner and operator of Rita's Wig Shop for 35 years. Her customers were grateful for her "handy" work and the care she provided. The shop was originally downtown, but later settled on Ninth and Broadwater Avenue. She also worked as a bartender and barmaid for many years. Rita was a dedicated volunteer; she loved to dance and enjoyed country music.

Rita is survived by her sons, Dean Nysted and Curt (Carina) Nysted, all of Billings; six grandchildren and extended family, including sisters and brothers, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Harris and her son Darvin Nysted.

Funeral Mass will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, Nov. 28, at St. Patrick Co-Cathedral, 215 N. 31st St. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
