Russell James Monaco, 47of Billings, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 2nd, 2011.

He was born May 7, 1964 in Billings to Judy & the late Bob Monaco. Russ graduated from Billings West High in 1982 and received a degree from North Dakota State College Of Science . He then met the love of his life Kathy Costello and they were married on May 30, 1992.

Russ worked at S & S Machine Inc. in Billings as a machinist. He enjoyed working with his hands creating and repairing parts for customers of S & S. He was involved in ASA Softball as a coach and fundraising for his team The Billings Shockers.

Russ is survived by his wife Kathy, the two brightest lights of his life daughters Mallory, 14, & Madison, 10. Mother Judy from Laurel, brothers Rob (Patti) from Billings, Reece (Stephanie) from Cheyenne, WY and great aunt Isabelle from Joliet. He is also survived by in laws John and Pat Costello and numerous aunts and uncles, and 22 nieces & nephews.

Russ enjoyed outdoor activities and cheering on his girls in the different sports that they played. He was a huge help to all his friends and enjoyed decorating his house on "Misfit Lane". He will deeply be missed all his family & friends.

Services will be held at 11am Tuesday, December 6th at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers the family is setting up a scholarship fund for Russ' daughters. Donations can be made to Billings Federal Credit Union.
