Ruth Virginia (Burton) Amdor, 86, of Billings, formerly of Roundup, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019. She was born on Feb. 16, 1933, to Clyde Burton and Lorene McLean Burton.

Ruth was very active in the Roundup community, attending school and sports activities with her camera in hand for every event. Ruth and Bill Amdor ran Van Dykes Supermarket for 30-plus years. They also founded the Teen Center, where many high school kids in Roundup spent their weekends. After retirement, she spent every waking hour working in her yard on her beautiful flowers.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Amdor and granddaughter, Shae Amdor; son, Steve (Abi) Amdor and granddaughters, Stephanie and Sophia; and sister, Pauline Powers. She is preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Kuykendall, and daughter, Debbie Amdor.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. Graveside services will be held in the Roundup Cemetery, with a reception to follow in the basement of St. Benedict's Catholic Church.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
