Sherrie Hinnaland Keating

Sherrie KeatingSherrie went with her Lord, August 24, 2006 at the Mayo Hospital, Phoeinx, AZ, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

She was born January 20, 1946 in Butte, MT to Martin and Doris Hinnaland. She graduated from Billings West High and earned a BS degree in nursing at Montana State University. Sherrie worked in many areas of nursing, most recently at the Yellowstone Treatment Center.

Sherrie's professional skills and compassionate nature earned her great respect from her peers and patients.

During her life Sherrie enjoyed traveling. She enjoyed trips to Norway with her family and she especially enjoyed Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where she lived and worked for many seasons. Sherrie found contentment and many great friendships in Mexico.

Sherrie is survived by her father, Martin Hinnaland, her sister Peggy Smith (Barry), her niece Sara (Steve) Smith-Curtis and nephew Casey Smith. She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris.

Visitation will begin 3pm Wednesday at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 1st at 1:30pm at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 24th and Lewis, where she had been a faithful member.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice or to a special fund to help educate indigent Mexican children in Puerto Vallarta. These may be made in care of her sister Peggy Smith, 4231, Hwy 310, Joliet, MT 59041.

Sherrie will be missed deeply by her family and many friends. Her loving compassionate presence touched so many people in so many ways. Sherrie will be profoundly missed by her father who she affectionately called Daddy Dear.
