Susan Svetich Gralapp passed away on March 29, 2015. She was born on July 9, 1952, in Billings, Montana, the seventh child of John and Neva Evans Svetich.
She graduated from Billings Senior High School. She and Bernard Jackson were married in 1972 and had two children, John and Amy Marie. They were later divorced but remained lifelong friends. She met and later married Glen Gralapp who was a wonderful second dad to her son John.
Her devotion to family and her love of life and people were perfect for her work as a waitress and poker dealer; she was an ultimate professional in both careers. In later years she worked for the Postal Service.
Her siblings remember her best as a kind, thoughtful, loving peace-maker and, finally as their very own stand-up comedian. She was as generous with her time as with money and especially enjoyed volunteering for the Helping Hand Poker Run.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glendon Gralapp, and her infant daughter Amy Marie. She is loved and will be sorely missed by her son John, granddaughter Andy Stewart, her siblings, Joneva McCann, Michael and Mary Svetich, Donald Svetich and Mark Johns, Danella Royal, Myra Bourne, Lynne Svetich, Marcia and Tom Scheidecker and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or your charity of choice.
Funeral Mass will be 12 Noon, Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at St. Patrick Co-Cathedral.
