Susan Kathleen Mutschler
On Sunday, August 1, 2021, Sue joined her eternal father in heaven. She was 72 years old.
Sue was born on Nov 30, 1948, in Lake City, MN. She was the fifth child of ten from parents Harrold and “Bunny” Schreck. She graduated from Villa Maria Academy, a catholic school in Frontenac, MN. Sue met Monte Mutschler and they married on April 8, 1978, in Minneapolis, MN. They were blessed with their first child, Molly, born in 1979 in Minneapolis. In 1980, the family moved to Billings, MT. A transfer to Colstrip, MT, welcomed their son, Mark, in 1982 (born in Miles City since that was the closest hospital at an hour away). Billings ended up being their final residence after a move in 1984.
Sue and Monte established their business in World Wide on July 12, 1984. On that day, they began their spiritual walk with the Lord, in which Sue spent a great deal of time building her faith and relationship with Jesus. She was a part of several spiritual groups and was always praying for others. Sue spent quite a bit of time on the road for business, yet always made time to sightsee the natural surroundings.
Sue was a precious soul who touched many others with her gentle kindness and bright smile. She was a creative mother fashioning several homemade games and activities for her children. The family enjoyed creating their own special holiday traditions. One example is the Easter egg competition where artists would march their eggs down a platform to be judged by the family critics. Sue absolutely loved her children and they blessed her with so many precious memories. The best family memory was an incredible vacation to Orlando where they visited Disney World and Universal Studios.
Sue enjoyed reading books and loved flowers, especially red roses. She was a positive spirit, always looking toward the good in life and encouraging others to do their best. Sue and her family would dedicate time to community service such as creating gifts bags and delivering them to nursing homes. Her favorite colors, blue and green, can be seen in her wardrobe and her collectible items around the home. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with friends, eating out, and stopping for ice cream afterwards. Sue enjoyed traveling and building new friendships. She was a dedicated patriot always supporting the country and those who defend it. Sue was strong in character, dedicated to standing for goodness, and she stated at the last hour that she’ll be “soaring on the wings of eagles.”
She is survived by her husband Monte; daughter Molly Sprenger and husband Pete Sprenger of San Antonio, TX; son Mark Mutschler and wife Malori Mutschler of Billings; and two grandchildren, Kayla Sprenger and Zachary Sprenger of San Antonio, TX.
Sue was preceded in her death by her parents.
