Susan Joyce (Vetter) Truscott

Susan Joyce (Vetter) Truscott, 63, passed away suddenly in her home on Nov. 14, 2021, from Covid complications. We thank God that her son, James, and her close friend, Andrea, were with her in her final moments on this earth.

Susan was born in Billings on May 6, 1958, to Art and Joyce Vetter. She had one son, James Smith III. Her passion was raising her son and challenging him in golf. Over the years, she was a waitress/bartender and she owned her own telecommunications company with her ex-husband Jack. She loved working with the public and had the perfect personality for that industry. The past few years, she spent time socializing with friends and bartending at the Pryor Creek Bar. She was an extremely hard worker and finally made the decision to retire in 2019.

She so loved all her amazing family, especially enjoying her time with them at the wonderful family get-togethers. She also loved her family and friends who were spread across the country. She was a very loving and caring, generous person.

Susan lived her life to the fullest. Her smile lit up a room and her laugh was one of a kind. She made every one feel like her best friend and always welcome. She was a regular on the pool leagues and loved to golf, loved to go camping and taking road trips. She was a wonderful cook who made the most amazing enchiladas.

She is preceded in death by her father, Art Vetter; grandparents; and many aunts and uncles. Susan is survived by her mother, Joyce Vetter; brother Rod (Bonnie) Vetter; sister Debbie Hinze; her son, James Smith III; many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, at the Pryor Creek Bar and Café. Food will be served. Please come and share in all our memories.

Susie will be sorely missed as a mother, daughter, auntie, baby sister and best friend, and will never be forgotten in our hearts.
