Theodore Eldon "Ted" Iverson, 69, of Billings, passed away July 5, 2015, at Aspen Meadows in Billings.
Ted was born on Oct. 24, 1945, to Chester and Silda (Liebelt) Iverson, in Minot, N.D., where the family farmed south of Sawyer. At the age of 14, he moved with his family to Ronan, where he graduated from high school in 1965. After graduation, he enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Dauchau, Germany.
After his service, Ted moved to Billings, and went on to partner with Dale Jackson to form Jackson/Iverson. He married Sheri Young in 1993.
And avid hunter and expert marksman, he held several titles. He was also a pilot and outdoorsman, and a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Iverson; mother Silda Iverson; and brother Colin Iverson. He is survived by his wife, Sheri; children Rev. Erik Iverson, Ryan Iverson and Carmen (Jason) Raley; stepchildren Marv (Sarah) Young and Adam Young; grandchildren Jacob, Bailey and Aidan Young; brother Allen (Mary Lou) Iverson; and sister Norma (LaVern) Chrest.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 10, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 2336 St. Johns Ave. Private burial with military honors will be held at Yellowstone National Cemetery in Laurel.
