Thomas L. ‘Tod' Doran passed away on June 10th at his home in Billings, after a long struggle with cancer. He was 82. Tod left his birthplace of Butte, Montana, after high school to attend the University of Notre Dame, from which he graduated with a degree in engineering. He served his country in the United States Navy, aboard the USS Bataan and the USS Saidor, during the Korean conflict. After working for Boeing and Westinghouse, he spent the majority of his professional life with Montana Power until his retirement.

Tod leaves behind his loving wife of fifty six years, Anne Doran; his daughter Stacy (and husband Doug) Mercer of Portland; and his son Tod (and wife Barbara) of Spokane. He is survived by his brother James "Mun" Doran of Butte, brother Robert Doran of Olympia; and sister Loretta Pericin of Portland. Tod loved his family, including his six grandchildren, Sean, Joel, and Lisa Doran of Spokane and Molly, Meghan and Ian Mercer of Portland, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M., on Friday, June 16, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, with rite of committal at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park.
