Thomas Driscoll

Thomas Driscoll age 75 of Billings passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2017. Tom was born April 15, 1941 in Anaconda, Montana, the first of five children born to Thomas and Betty Driscoll. He attended both St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s grade schools and graduated from Anaconda Central in 1959. Tom attended Carroll College and later enlisted in the Air Force. During his time in the service, Tom married JoAnn (Taylor) of Walla Walla, WA on June 11, 1966. His Air Force assignment was in Sunnyvale, CA at the Satellite Test Center. When Tom completed his tour of duty in the service, he continued to work in the Aerospace business for the next 34 years retiring from TRW in 2001. After retirement Tom and JoAnn moved home to Montana. In everything he did in life he gave his all and lived life with much zest and courage. Tom will be missed by all who knew him. Tom was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Betty Driscoll. He is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn of Billings, his brother, Jack (Diana) Driscoll, Manhattan Beach, CA, his sisters Mary Ellen (Don) James, Cathy Downey both of Billings, Betty Ann (John) Strawn of Spokane, WA. He is also survived by his sister-in-law’s Carol (Ray) Meadows of Columbia Falls, MT and Linda Taylor of Kalispell, MT. He is survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. His wife JoAnn and his family extend a special Thank You to Dr. Neal Sorensen and Dr. Patrick Cobb, the staff on 3Fortin and 3Tower at St. Vincent Healthcare as well as the staff at Frontier Cancer Center for the excellent care they extended to Tom. Tom’s funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 12 at 11AM with rite of committal to follow at Yellowstone Memorial Park. A reception will follow at the church.
