Timothy Wayne King died Aug. 27, 2011, after a tragic accident.

He was born on Jan. 14, 1954, at Park County Hospital in Livingston. He was the second child of Wayne M. King and Joan H. King of Billings. Tim married the love of his life, Louise Holmes, on July 2, 1983, in Billings. Tim lived life to the fullest, and was deeply committed to his wife Louise for nearly 30 years.

Tim graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1972, and attended Montana State University. In high school, Tim was active in javelin and the wrestling program. He was also involved with 4-H. Tim's career started as an iron worker, structural welder and pipeline welder for King Construction. Tim was a self-taught iron and metal designer and manufacturer, specializing in computer mechanical designs. At the time of his death, Tim was the President of Northwest Manufacturing and Distribution. Tim was a member of the Elks Lodge; he was previously the Master of Pryor Mountain Lodge Masonic Order; he was an active Shriner and lifetime member of the Historic Bannock Masonic Lodge.

Throughout his life, Tim touched many lives and was known for his generosity and fierce loyalty to friends and family. He was an avid motorcycle rider, wine connoisseur and hunter. He and Louise lived life very fully and enjoyed traveling and were rarely apart. Tim was the strength and part of the glue in his family; his absence will create a profound void. Those who knew Tim would probably agree - he's already telling God "what to do...".

Tim is survived in death by his loving wife, Louise; his father, Wayne King and special friend Lee Limpp of Billings; his sister, Judie King (Walt) Manuel of Winnett and nephews Brian (Niki) Manuel and family of Miles City and Greg Manuel of Dallas, Texas; his brother, Mitch (Holly) King and nephew Justin and niece Jacklyn (Patrick) Lewis and family of Bozeman; and special aunt, Donna King of Yuma, Ariz. Tim is also survived by his mother-in-law, Virginia Holmes of Coats, N.C.; two brothers-in-law, David and Kenneth Holmes of North Carolina; and sister-in-law Carolyn (Michael) Thomas of Coats, N.C. In addition, Tim leaves behind many special and faithful friends, business associates and travel companions who are as close as family, too many to list.

Tim is preceded in death by his mother, Joan H. King; his father-in-law, Henry Holmes; his grandparents, Tom and Ester Skillman and Henry and Elsie King.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at the Elks Lodge, 934 Lewis Ave., in Billings, on Thursday, Sept. 1, at 2 p.m., followed by a reception.
