Tommy Edgar Price

The family of Tommy Edgar Price is saddened to announce his passing on December 23rd , 2024. He was surrounded by loved ones as he took his final breath at 90 years of age.

Thomas or Tom to most was born August 2nd 1934 in Ekalaka Montana to George and Eva (Welch) Price.  He was the 4th child of 7.  In 1954 he married Carolyn Wilhelm and they had two sons, Tom Jr and Kem.  His boys meant the world to him.  Carolyn and Tom would later divorce.  He later met and married Sharon Soares and she brought to the marriage another blessing of a son, Kelly.  Tom would help raise him with her.  Tom and Sharon had just celebrated their 52 wedding anniversary in September.

Tom worked many jobs in and around Montana, including retiring from the Billings Gazette as a pressman.  He was also a bartender and bar owner. He was most known around Billings as one of the best welders around and had people from all over come to him for help with their projects.  In his family though, he was the one who made beautiful large welded flowers that still decorate many yards around the United States.  In his spare time if he wasn’t in his shop, he would be at the lake water skiing.  An activity he enjoyed teaching his sons and his grandkids.  The highlight of the year would be meeting at Lake DeSmet in Wyoming, camping and skiing with his immediate family.  Those trips will never be forgotten.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Pat, Dick, and Mike.  He is survived by his wife Sharon of Billings MT, Sons Tom of Gillette WY, Kem (Kim) of Sheridan WY, and Kelly of Billings MT.  Much loved grandchildren Brandon, Heather, Misti, and Allen, 6 great grandchildren who brought so much joy to his life, Brother Harry (Gail) Price of Miles City MT, sisters Joan Berg of Livingston MT and Marcia (Mickey) McFarland of Miles City MT. And several nieces and nephews who could probably tell you several fun stories of their Uncle Tom.
