Vada Estelle (Mercer) Pitchford

Vada Mercer Pitchford completed her earthly journey on March 8, 2015. She was born in Sherman, Texas, on Nov. 2, 1920, the daughter of Sallie (Legate) and Ernest F. Mercer. She was united in marriage with Louis C. Pitchford, Jr., in 1955 and spent her life loving God, her family and her friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters and one brother. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Jack Connelly (Monica), Marilyn Bromiley (Kirk), Michael Healey (Peetsheng), Maureen Earnest (Terry) and Patricia Healey; cousins Earnest and LaNette Young; and a host of friends. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Crawford and 13th Street West, with burial in Mountview Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Louis C.
