Wallace "Wally" Miles passed away surrounded by loved ones on February 8, 2025, in Billings, Montana, from complication due to a stroke. He was born on June 12, 1954, in Missoula, Montana, and lived a life marked by hard work, curiosity, and a passion for history.
Wally built a career as an industrial painter, a profession that took him across the United States. His work allowed him to explore different regions while honing his craft. Even after retirement, he remained active in his many interests.
A true enthusiast of all things mechanical, Wally found joy in riding and working on Harley-Davidsons. He had a deep appreciation for firearms and spent countless hours rebuilding old vehicles. Whether he was tinkering with guns or restoring a classic car, he was always creating something remarkable with his hands.
Beyond his mechanical pursuits, Wally had a love for history and was always eager to learn and share knowledge. Conversations with him often turned to tidbits of history, restoration of a vehicle or interesting facts on guns
Wherever Wally went, his loyal German Shepherd, Blade, was never far behind. The two were inseparable companions who shared many journeys together.
Wally is survived by his son Jacob Miles and daughter Crystal Brown. He was predeceased by his wife Jeannette Miles, daughter Marie Dawn, mother Jean Miles, and father Earle Miles.
May Wally’s memory live on in the hearts of those who knew him and in the stories he so loved to tell. In accordance with Wally's wishes, there will be no services. Cremation will take place, and he will be spread with his late wife later in the year.
