Wanda Lee Hartman, 80, of Billings, passed away under hospice care at Tender Nest, on Saturday, March 31, 2018. Wanda was born on May 23, 1937 in Beulah, N.D., to Arthur and Leona (Miller) Fischer. She was raised in Beulah and graduated from Beulah High School. Wanda lived in California and Washington State before settling in Billings. She met Paul Hartman there and they were married on July 8, 1961.
Wanda worked at St. Vincent Healthcare in Environmental Services for 23 years, where she made many friends. She enjoyed working in the garden and her flower beds and spending time with her family, including her grandson Richie.
Wanda is survived by Paul Hartman, her husband of 56 wonderful years; daughters Cheryl Hartman and June Hartman; and grandson, Richie Shular, all of Billings; sisters Lavonne (Paul) Mueller of Beulah, ND, Dorothy Becher of Glen Ullin, ND, and Esther Fischer of Bismarck; as well as seven nieces and nephews, several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Leslie, Ervin and Gene; sisters Rose Fischer, Arlys Fischer and Darlene (Edward) Kukuk; brother-in-law, Wayne Becher; and nephew Russell Fischer.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 6, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 328 Shiloh Road. A reception will follow. Private interment will held at Yellowstone National Cemetery.
