Wayne Love Profile Photo

Wayne Irvin Love went to be with his Lord and dear departed family on June 5, 2012. He was surrounded by the people who loved him unconditionally.

What can we say about Wayne Love? He was born on Sept. 21, 1945, to Ernest and Lenora Love in Billings. He spent his entire life in the city he loved.

He was second youngest of six children. He received his baptism on March 29, 2012, by pastor Monte Love (nephew).

Wayne attended Taft Elementary School and Garfield Junior High.

He worked for American Sugar Factory for several campaigns. He also worked for the American Corn Factory and Carlin Motors. His most valued and important job was the devoted work he put in on taking care of loving wife and the son he adored. Later on, he showed that same devotion when taking care of his elderly parents.

Wayne married the love of his life, Laura Ann Trottier, on June 8, 1968.To this union, a son, Thomas Ray Love, was born.

One year into the marriage, Wayne took on the role of father to his five younger brothers and sisters-in-law, along with his mother-in-law. He took them into his home, along with the two dogs, showing them the depth of a heart of a truly good man. This cemented the love and respect of his loving wife's family for all the years to come.

All could tell you of the gruff nature of Wayne. Yet all can tell you that bear was as gentle as a lamb to the people he cared for. He was, without question, a man who would give you the "shirt of his back."

We will all miss the sense of humor, the teasing and the mischief he brought to our lives. As a family, we will surely retell many stories of Wayne Irvin Love.

Wayne's favorite pastime was watching old movies, listening to the sounds of the '50s and '60s and good old country music. We all suspect he is up there trying to figure out if all those ghost stories he loved to watch are true. He also loved to bird hunt and fish with his son and family. What brought the real twinkle in his eye was the grandboys. Simply spending time with them was the real treat.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 44 years, Laura; his son, Thomas Love; three grandsons, Brayden, Kade and Lane; his mother-in-law Betty Marsh; eight sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law, along with numerous nieces and nephews. His family and friends will forever hold him in high regard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Larry, Ray, Dennis and Roger; his only sister, JoAnn Borer; two brothers-in-law, Tim Trottier and Jack Vaughn; and one sister-in-law, Georgiana Trottier.

At the end of Wayne's life, he was sent a special angel, Lisa Burnham (niece). Special thanks to her and the caregivers who shared their love during "Buttercup's" last bit of time. Thanks are also given to Dr. Mark Blossom and Ms. Rose from Riverstone Hospice.

Funeral services will be held 11am Monday, June 11th at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. Visitation will begin at 9am.
