ABSAROKEE/BILLINGS - Our dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully into heaven on March 8, 2017. He was born on Aug. 23, 1915, in Pingree, N.D. Bill exceeded his goal of reaching 100. He met his wife Dora in 1933 at a barn dance in North Dakota, and they married in 1935. Bill, Dora and their two daughters moved to Billings in1956, where he worked at McIntyre's Cadillac until he retired in 1980.
Bill enlisted in the Navy in 1944, serving his country in World War II as a Seabee in Okinawa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six siblings and his wife, Dora.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Tommye Parker (Don) of Absarokee, Kathy Peterson (Roy) of Fairplay, Colo.; five grandchildren, Lisa, Rachele, Spencer, Nicole, Kristi; and four great-grandchildren, Zack, Tyler, Wyatt and Ginger.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. John's Langemo Cottage for their compassionate care.
Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 14, at Congregational Church in Absarokee. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Mountview Cemetery in Billings.
