William Michael "Mike" Mullen, 73, of Billings, passed away on Dec. 6, 2015, at Grand Park, due to complications from Alzheimer's disease. He was born in Wallace Idaho on April 13, 1942, to William and Donna (Raymond) Mullen.
Mike joined the U.S. Army after graduating from Wallace High School in 1960. He received his honorable discharge from the Army in May of 1966. After his discharge from the Army, he worked in the banking industry for several years. He joined Northwest Industrial Supply in Idaho Falls, and was transferred to Billings to open a satellite store in 1973. He retired from Mullen Crane, returning to Idaho and living in Pocatello before retiring to Lake Havasu, Ariz. He later returned to Billings.
He married Suzy Elliston and together they had three beautiful daughters, Debbie (Ralph) Britzius, Marcie Hummel (Sam Contreraz) and Terri (Andy) Heggen. They were later divorced.
He married Renna Mae Hill, who was his soul mate for 38 years.
Mike will be remembered for his beautiful blue eyes, his smile and his deadly handshake.
He is survived by his wife, Renna Mae Mullen; his three daughters; stepchildren Steven (Sheri) Holzworth, Stacy (Stuart) Summers all of Billings and Stewart Holzworth of Bozeman; brother Ray (Ellen) Mullen of Soda Springs, Idaho; sister Judy (John) Felice of Liberty Lake, Wash.; grandchildren Olivia, Trevor, Rachel, Justin, Kevin, Josh, Bree; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave.
The family would like to thank Marquis Grand Park for the care provided in recent months.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
