Zachary Kane Story

Zachary Kane Story, 7/12/1977-1/23/2025, born in Jackson, Wy., and grew up in Billings, Montana.  Zach graduated from Billings West High School and completed his undergraduate degree at MSUB.

Zach was a Hero and a Warrior. For 32 years he faced horrendous obstacles caused by a rare tumor in his head. He persevered through multiple surgeries, treatments, and procedures never complaining or becoming bitter. Zach was our ‘warrior’, he met each obstacle, with courage, and grace.  Zach prayed nightly for a miracle, and was steadfast in his fight against the tumor to his last day.

Through all this Zach was able to live independently and become an avid ‘gamer’, science fiction reader and movie goer.  Even when the tumor took his vision, he continued to live in his apartment with the help of, a visiting nurse and wonderful personal care attendants, who came into his home, but also took him out to the Casinos for a little fun.

Here in Billings, and at the University of Washington Medical Center, Zach received spectacular care. Zach’s gratitude and appreciation was unlimited, for those who touched his life, and took care of him.

He will be deeply missed by his parents, Nancy Mangiantini Story, Bob Story; his sister, Katie Story Farmer, his niece Bentley Farmer; uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends.
