Frank Greene III left this earth unexpectedly on Friday, March 8, 2013.

Trey was born on May 18, 1965, to the late Frank Greene Jr. and Jane Greene (Ahlquist) in Billings.

Trey was an extremely unique individual. His life passion was all types of cars. He loved and admired all automobiles, but his all-time favorite was the first-generation Camaro. He was an amazing metal fabricator and talented painter, painting his first vehicle at age 13. Trey was a walking book of auto information, while having kept and saved every car and hot rod magazine since the early ’80s.

In Trey’s 47 years, he impacted the lives of everyone around him! He had a heart of large proportion. He loved to laugh and had the most unique laugh that you could hear from afar. He loved his family and friends so much, and was not afraid to say I love you!

Trey is preceded in death by his father, Frank Greene Jr.; grandparents Frank and Rosie Greene; Aunt Brownie Greene; grandparents Richard Beckerley and Neva Beckerley; step-father Edward Ahlquist; and his best friend and uncle, Bob Beckerley.

Trey is survived by his son, Joseph Howe of Sumner, Wash.; his mother, Jane Ahlquist of Billings; his brother, Jim Ahlquist and family (Shelly) of Everett, Wash.; his sister, Julie Carlson and family (Don) of Everett; his sister, Jenny Williams-Ludvigson and family of Billings; all his nieces and nephews; his cousins Kate Beckerley and Rick Beckerley and family, both of Billings; aunt Claudia Potts (Allen); and girlfriend Manda.

The casket will be open for visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 14, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Cremation will follow. A service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 15, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary.

  1. I remember Trey and I playing with matchbox cars in Pop-Pop & Grandma Rosie’s front room. He and I would construct quite the roadway. Trey is my only full-blooded cousin and I will miss him immensely. I was able to hug and hold him last August after our aunt had passed away. That moment in time will be forever in my heart and in my memories. I love and miss you, Trey.

Trey was my first crush at Will James Junior High! I was sure I was going to marry that hot guy with “Dr. love” license plates!! His grandfather, Richard Beckerly, worked for my father for many years and loved to brag about his grandson, whom he loved very much!! May God Bless your family! Becky

  3. I met Trey at Jasons Restaurant in Puyallup Washington. He was in town to do car stuff. I dated and fell in love with this wonderful man. We were married, divorced, and stil remained friends. We went through hard times and very fun times, and we kept in touch through out the years. Everytime he called he would tell me he loved me. He never held back on letting you know you were loved by him. I will surely miss his calls. I am so very saddened by his untimely departure. Trey … I love you!
