Our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Ardy, went to be with our Dad Thursday, June 6, 2013. Many of Ardys loved ones were by her side as she left this world for the next.

Ardy was born October 14, 1940 to Karl and Laura Welzenbach of Wolf Point, Montana. She married Martin “Chuck” Joseph Doornek on November 13, 1962 in Wolf Point and they later made their home in Billings, Montana.

Ardis is survived by her children Joe (Rhonda) of Forney, Texas, Marie Anderson of Billings, and Martin of Billings and 5 grandchildren, Tierra (Jun) Lockwood-Davis, JoJo, Cash, Jordan and Sage.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers.

Ardy started work in the optical industry in 1970 , retiring in 2012.

She enjoyed bowling, golfing, Bunko, and her faithful Saturday garage sales with her “girls”, but most of all, Mom enjoyed life.

Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Avenue. A reception will follow at the Elks Club. Visitation will be 8am to 5pm Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday prior to the service.

  2. I was sitting here crying last night when I realized I was crying for myself. Ardy is in a much better place now. I on the other hand will not have her to talk to about everything and nothing. She will be missed!

Ardy was a real lady! I remember so many wonderful things about her as I was growing up. She was a great Mom even to kids that weren’t hers! Remember all the lovely things she did for others. She will be missed.
