Kathryn M. Hensel, 93 of Billings, passed away, Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Highgate Senior Living.

The daughter of John and Theresa Lenhardt, Kathryn was born November 1, 1926 in New England, ND.

Kathryn is survived by three daughters, Linda (Mike) Capser and their sons Todd and Troy (Nicole); Colleen (Jim) Whitbeck and their daughters Katie (Shane) and Jill (Ross); and Geri (Bucky) Heringer and their children, Travis (Dan), Kelcy, Jenny and Tanner (Katria). Kathryn had 14 great-grandchildren who brought joy to her life.

Her husband Robert preceded her in death August 25, 2015.

Kathryn enjoyed baking and was always trying new recipes. She loved her roses and gardening and playing Bingo, especially when she won miniature Hersey Bars. Robert and Kathryn enjoyed traveling to Polka Fests throughout the area. She was a member of Catholic Daughters.

The family would like to thank the caregivers of Highgate Senior Living and Compassus Hospice for all the loving care.

Visitation will begin 2pm Wednesday at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. The Funeral Mass will be 10am Friday, September 25, 2020 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Rite of Committal at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park.

Memorials may be given for scholarships at Billings Catholic Schools.

    Bill & I paid our respects to your lovely Mama. Kathryn was a friendly, sweet
    lady & enjoyed visiting with her & your dad at church (esp. when they were in the back pews). She looked very beautiful!!
    Bill & I are busy planning my moms funeral for next week. She passed away on the 19th,so your mom is leading the way to heaven.

  3. I had the privilege of working with Kathryn at First Federal Savings and Loan. She was such a beautiful lady inside and out. She sure could make us laugh in the loan department! God bless her. 🙏❤️

  4. A sweet gentle spirited lady! I Always looked forward to seeing Katherine at Paulines table at Highgate, ready to pour her that cup of coffee. Such a Delight. God Bless and watch over you All.
